Hello. My name is Thijs and I am from the Netherlands. I run a bot called Thijs!bot on many Wikipedias (more than 40) to create interwiki-links to and from articles about the same subject. I would like to request a bot flag for performing this task on ast:. For this application, I need the support of the local community, and hereby I would like to ask for support. The bot will not make Wikipedia run slower, because adding any extra languages doesn't cause additional server load. Furthermore, the bot will always ask me before it performs difficult tasks. On itself, it only does unambigious edits. As a main source, I use the Dutch Wikipedia and Flacus' warnfiles. Thijs! 13:07, 2 agostu 2006 (UTC)

Please for supporting bot flag for my bot. It's interwiki bot working on cs:, it does non-controversial automatic interwiki addiction, but his main domain is human assisted problematical interwiki (this operation is working on all languages at same time, but maximal about 20 pages per day).

Sometimes this bot do standard interwiki addiction, but only in the languages with bot flag.

Bot is based on pywikipedia. Already with bot status in about 100 languages, including almost all from top20 (some of them you can see here).

[editar] Betawiki: better support for your language in MediaWiki

Dear community. I am writing to you to promote a special wiki called Betawiki. This wiki facilitates the localisation (l10n) of the MediaWiki interface. You may have changed many messages here on Wikipedia to use your language for your language profile, but if you would log in to for example the English language Wiktionary, you would not be able to use the interface as well translated as here. Infact, of the 1792 messages in the core of MediaWiki, 4 messages have been translated. Betawiki also supports the translation of messages of over 75 extensions, with 981 messages.

If you wish to contribute to better support of your language in MediaWiki, as well as for many MediaWiki extensions, please visit Betawiki, create an account and request translator priviledges. You can see the current status of localisation of your language on meta and do not forget to get in touch with others that may already be working on your language on Betawiki.

If you have any further questions, please let me know on my talk page on Betawiki. We will try and assist you as much as possible, for example by importing all messages from a local wiki for you to start with, if you so desire.

You can also find us on the Freenode IRC network in the channel #mediawiki-i18n where we would be happy to help you get started.

[editar] Estimados asturianos, tenemos que difundir el idioma asturiano

Hola a todos, me llamo Sarvaturi (es decir "Salvador", en siciliano), trabajo como administrador y burócrata en la SCN.wikipedia y en el SCN.wiktionary.

Por primero, os quiero decir: "¡felicidades!" "¡enhorabuenas!" para este maravilloso proyecto en lengua asturiana. Hace unos meses, he visitado y leído varios artículos en asturiano de vuestra enciclopedia, y esto me ha encantado mucho.

Luego, os quiero informar que he trabajado toda la noche en el Uiccionariu asturianu: he creado y traducido al asturiano unas cuantas plantillas gramaticales y lingüísticas, que he listado en las páginas:

Por favor os pido que corrijáis, lo antes posible, mis traducciones asturianas.

Luego, estaría bien si algunos de vosotros escribéis en el uiccionario asturiano los artículos necesarios siguientes:



He notado que la Wikimedia Foundation ha cerrado varios proyectos Wikipedia y Wiktionary, entonces yo no quiero que cierren el Uiccionariu asturianu. Pués, os propongo que escribéis estos artículos básicos, necesarios, útiles, que existen en la mayor parte de los otros proyectos Uiccionario. Esto es un señal de calidad. Os ruego por favor, escribáis por lo menos los artículos que os he listado arriba.
