Ziphone is an application for jailbreaking (or removing protection against installing 3rd party apps) an Ipod Touch or an Iphone.
I actually tried using it once, and it didn't work. I had to reset the Ipod Touch.
What you downloaded is probably not malicious if you downloaded it from the Ziphone official site (http://download.ziphone.org/).
