I think people should know cork is an eco-friendly product, not just to close wine bottles, but also for such things as construction and footwear. Portuguese cork is even used in the construction of space shuttles!

Some of you don't know that for taking the cork out of the tree you don't need to cut it, you just need to "shave" it (In lack of a better word)

Great vid. Portugal produce 50% of cork worldwide. And another important fact: Wine tastes better when sealed with cork ;) . And of course, cork is environmentally friendly.
