Broccoli with wasabi sauce (wasabi-ae) | Just Hungry SAVE
PEOPLE
As long as you have all the ingredients on hand it’s very quick to make, and very tasty. The sinus-clearing qualities of the wasabi are softened by the other ingredients in the sauce, while still giving the broccoli a nice, bright flavor. It makes a great side dish as part of a Japanese meal, or even a salad. It’s also a very nice bento item (you may want to contain the sauce in a paper cup or its own container).TAGS

The Black Art of Finding A Japanese Address: Planet Tokyo SAVE
PEOPLE
As if the total strangeness of Tokyo was not enough to confuse and disorient the Western visitor, it turns out that the streets have no names and the buildings are numbered in a random fashion that was possibly invented by a 13th century Buddhist monk. The secret of deciphering the addressing scheme appears to have died with him. Or maybe not. While it is almost hopeless, there are some general guidelines that can be helpful in times of lost distress.TAGS

How to locate a Japanese address on Google Maps | gnurou.org SAVE
PEOPLE
Locating a place in Japan can be a real hell. As Japanese addresses do not follow a scheme that allows to directly locate a place from a street and a number, it is easy to spend countless hours losing yourself. You can ask one of the many policemen in the street, as they are used to answer this kind of request, but it is much better (and educational) if you can find the exact location yourself. We are going to see how we can do this with a few Japanese words and Google Maps.TAGS
