Financial GlossaryStock futures mixed ahead of economic data
01/08/09 06:52 ESTNEW YORK (AP) - Wall Street headed for a mixed open Thursday, bracing for what are expected to be more bleak data on employment and retail sales.
The market anticipates that the Labor Department will report that the number of new claims for jobless benefits jumped last week to 540,000 from 492,000 in the previous week, according to the median estimate of economists surveyed by Thomson Reuters/IFR.
Investors are also anxious about December sales figures from major retailers. Many analysts forecast that last month's sales will be better than November's, but they are still expected to be poor.

DFidelman 11:55:19 PM Jan 07 2009 Report This! You need to change your mindset and buy Gold and Silver Junior Mines stocks.. . . . I have made $35,000 in the last 4 weeks on penny stocks. ===== > Hmmmm . . . so, if you have made $35K, those who bought your stocks would lose $35K if it drops down to what you originally paid for it, right? . . . and the markets are generally declining, right. It sounds too much like Las Vegas gambling to me. For every "winner" there must be a "loser", right? you just want more players in your card game to boost your future profits.

Without FULL DISCLOSURES and TRANSPARENCY as promised by congress, and without reasonable and effective regulation and oversight, there is NO INTEGRITY in the stock markets. The current predictions are for an additional 20% to 40% drop in the markets . . . what rational and reasonable person is going to invest in a manipulated and corrupt "declining market", with corrupt corporations, fraudualent/misleading financial reports, etc. INTEGRITY must be instilled in the corporations and the markets, and it must "bottom out" BEFORE any type of "recovery" can occur. The American peoples' recent painful experiences in all of this are not going to be soon forgotten . . . and they are notgoing to be inticed to re-invest in a corrupt / fraudulent market. All of the corporations listed on the stock exchanges should provide audited financial reports by reliable recognized finacial audting firms.

Are we headed for a Triple Bottom? Not hardly as we aren't even halfway to the bottom, but we are close to being halfway. Seriously though, Just wait until the socialist Dems are through envoking their failed policies which are completely responsible for our current crisses Furthermore, there is no way to reverse the massive damage the Dems have done with these handouts to illegals, degenerate minorities and anti American marxist groups like A.C.O.R.N.. Many of these failed policies started in the Carter Administration with "The Community Reinvestment Act" and the "blocking of America's domestic energy". Many were reinacted during the Clinton Administration and once the Dems took control of Congress again. Now the effects are snow balling and they soon will cause a domino effect that will finish America for good and cause a world war to end all wars

LRAD, Sounds like you can't even take care of yourself. What makes you think you've been taking care of anyone else?Don't let hard times allow you to lose your composure... or compassion.

85 percent of us have a roof over our head* a can of Alpo on the table and a glass of water to drink. Barry will take care of everyone else. The remaining 22 - 35 million should go back to their home lands. Mexico* India* China* Somalia* South America or what other country continent they are from. We can no longer support them.

You need to change your mindset and buy Gold and Silver Junior Mines stocks.Make sure the stock is less than 5 dollars and the 52 week high/low should be at least 8 times different, ie. if the stocks high was 25 and it's low was 2, then this would be great buy at 5 or below. The best chance for making money is in the penny gold/silver stocks. I have made $35,000 in the last 4 weeks on penny stocks.

CASH! Piles of cold hard cash is the best way to weather the current economic situation. I learned a lot about spending, SAVING and living a "richer" life from the book "How to Become Filthy Rich on Your Current Income" at www.how-to-become-rich.com. If people read books like this one we would not have the current situation we do.
